Session types & their descriptions:
Beginnings
Maternity pictures are best around a month before you're due. You can be photographed fully clothed, or belly out yet covered or if you're bold enough artistically nude.
Sessions can be private with just you, or you can include dad, or older siblings as well - whatever you want.
It's a good idea to wear loose fitting clothes the day of your shoot - to avoid elastic marks. While being photographed we find plain timeless are better than ones with logos on. If you're worried about what to wear just drop us a line to discuss things - also if you're concerned about stretch marks, these can be airbrushed away if you wish. | Maternity Clothing that's HOT |
Innocence
It's a good idea to book Newborn sessions before baby arrives. As capturing the angelic innocence is best before baby is four weeks old.
Our preference for baby at this time is to wear their birthday suit and for mum & dad to wear plain white or black tops. Oh and bring a change of clothes with you just in case you little one decided to tinkle on you!
Newborn sessions are never rushed and they're normally longer in time than other types of sessions as we go to baby's schedule, and pause for feeds & cuddles as needed.
Beautiful Baby
For gorgeous photos of your little one, simply as they are. Or if you prefer we have a range of prop items we can incorporate such as, petal sets, angel wings, funky hats etc - if you have your own ideas please tell us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Mummy & Me
Are you one of those mums who are 'always behind the camera never in front of the camera' well, if so this one's for you! A fun little session to get some great pictures of you and your little cariad.
I am One
When your child reaches a milestone in their life it should be recognised, and this is something they should be able to look back on when they're older - this is for bringing out the photos at their wedding!
Birthday Cake
Massacre
This one's messy! The concept is simple - we supply the birthday cake, you're little one is let loose on it, we capture some truly unique images, best of all we clean up!
Please bring extra clothes as they will get messy!
Walkie Talkie
These are really fun, they wear us out! For when your little one is ready to show off their walking & talking skills - in mild weather, exploring outside can give a whole new dimension to the photos. This age is really the first time we can comfortable use the outdoor areas.
Dress up
For older children from 3yrs - 9yrs in general but have been known to offer this to 30yearolds! bring your own clobber and fun things to play with, all those costumes they made you buy - get some pictures of them all - the results make great Calendar gifts for grandparents.
Fairy Fantasy
We have the most adorable fairy costumes for little girls and we can either go outdoors for pictures or We can set up the indoor forest for you.
Family
A time for families to get together and create long lasting portraits.
Whether you want just mum, dad & the kids, or an extended three or four generation family portrait - the choice is yours. These photo sessions can either be at our studio or at a suitable location.

What should we expect at the session?
We normally begin by hanging out for a few minutes with the yourselves & the kids to get to know each other over a coffee or soft drink.
Once we're all relaxed, we can start with a few in-studio images, we treat each child as an individual and let them dictate the pace, and allow them to come out of their shells naturally.
When photographing newborns, a sleepy baby is best. The younger the baby the better, as they grow so quickly! We always plan lots of time for newborns so there are breaks for feeding & changing etc...
Toddlers & young children are always captured much better when they're happy, so scheduling for the right time of day to suit your child is very important, our morning sessions are mid to late morning perfect for after nap time – but please talk to us and tell us your child's schedule. Also make sure your little one has been well fed and please bring some non messy snacks along as well as some favourite toys.
When photographing families, we will normally run through the must have groups with you, we'll try to do these relatively quickly while we have the kids full attention, then we can focus on smaller groups and individual images.
Lastly we'll schedule a convenient time for you to come back to view your images.
Viewing & Ordering
When do we get to see our pictures?
A week or two later you'll return to the studio to view your pictures. They'll be presented on a big screen as a slide show, where you'll initially sit back relax and enjoy the show.
Now the hard part is choosing what you want – most people love all our work! But don't panic there's no high pressure sales here, it's simply Lynne your photographer who you know, sat with you giving you any advice you might want on which images to choose and how best to display them. You'll probably already have an idea of what you want beforehand so it'll be a question of choosing the right image for you.
If you've had a family session with multiple family units making up the group, we ask that any of the families wishing to purchase images come to the viewing & order session – we can accommodate multiple sessions but a charge will apply for each additional session - £40
How long till we get stuff?
We know you're excited about your images! But creating great images takes time and shouldn't be rushed, we check each image to make sure it's perfect, before it reaches your home.
We therefore ask you allow 1-3 weeks for prints & canvas orders and 4-6 weeks for album & frame orders, if a rush order is needed, you must let us know before placing the order, so we can try to accommodate you.
